At Unbound Books, we value fairness, transparency, and clear communication. Please review this policy carefully before making a purchase.
Cancellations:
Due to shipping times, we do not accept order cancellations after 24 of order placement. Orders placed during business hours and before 12pm CST are subject to be shipped the same day depending on stock availability. Due to this, once an order has been processed we can no longer cancel the order.
We accept returns within 3 days of confirmed delivery.
To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be unused, unread, and in the same condition as received
- Items must be returned in original packaging (if applicable)
- A valid proof of purchase is required
Returns requested after 3 days will not be accepted.
Final Sale & Non-Returnable Items:
The following items are final sale and not eligible for return, refund, or chargeback, except where required by law or if damaged in transit:
- Signed or personalized books
- Special orders
- Preorders
- Event tickets or reservations
- Sale or clearance items
- Digital products or gift cards
By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to these final sale terms.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items:
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must notify us within 3 days of delivery.
To qualify for a replacement or refund:
- Contact us within 3 days
- Provide your order number
- Include clear photos of the item and packaging
Claims submitted after 3 days may be denied. This timeframe is strictly enforced to prevent fraud and shipping abuse.
Refund Processing
All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- Approved refunds will be issued as STORE CREDIT unless otherwise stated at time of request.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable
- Refunds are processed only after the returned item is received and approved
- Processing time may vary depending on your payment provider
We do not issue refunds for items returned without prior authorization.
Return Shipping Responsibility:
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was damaged, defective, or sent in error.
We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service. Unbound Books is not responsible for lost or untracked return shipments.
Exchanges:
Exchanges are only available for the same item in cases of damage or defect and are subject to availability.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes:
By purchasing from Unbound Books, you agree to contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
Unauthorized chargebacks or disputes that violate this Refund Policy may result in:
- Denial of the dispute with supporting documentation
- Permanent restriction from future purchases
We maintain detailed records of orders, shipping confirmations, delivery tracking, and customer communication to respond to disputes filed with payment processors.
Refusal of Service:
We reserve the right to refuse returns, refunds, or future service to customers who abuse our return policy, file fraudulent claims, or engage in excessive chargebacks.
